When I applied to become the subject leader for art I knew that it would be my dream job. To be able to realise my dreams and visions has been an incredible opportunity. I have had the freedom, encouragement and support needed to create a fantastic department where I can utilise the excellent facilities in the school and equipment to create an exciting subject area. I have been able to experience new teaching styles and work in collaboration with other departments. However, none of this would mean anything if the students here weren’t enthusiastic and motivated. The students are really excited about the projects they are working on in lesson. Over 30 students attend art club which makes all the hard work worth it.

As a newly qualified PE teacher I was delighted to get a job in a brand new school with such wonderful facilities. One year on and the facilities still look as though they have just been built! We have a very friendly and helpful staff, but the highlights for me are the great sports results and organising our first ski trip to Canada!
