GCSE Results 2009

Congratulations to our students who have achieved an excellent set of GCSE results this year. 67% of Year 11 gained the five or more A* - C grades overall and 53% gaining five or more A*-C including English and Maths.

Over 97% of students achieved 5A* - G passes with all students leaving with good qualifications to prepare them for their future life.

The progress that we have made with our students places us in the top 25% of similar schools across the Country.

There were some outstanding individual results with almost 20% of students achieving 8A*/A grades and many students achieving their personal best. 

High achievers include:

§  Abigail Mott – 8A*, 2A, 2B

§  Calum MacLeod – 8A*, 4A, 1B

§  Charlotte Devalmency - 6A*, 4A, 2B

These results are a credit to the students and staff for their hard work and commitment over the last five years.

AS Results 2009

Congratulations to Oriel Sixth Form Year 12 students who received their AS Level Module and component results. 

Oriel Sixth Form, which opened in September 2008, is pleased to receive its first set of AS Level results marking the end of an extremely successful first year for Oriel Sixth Form and reflect the hard work and commitment of students and staff.

These results include some exceptional individual performances: 

§  Robyn Cooper - gained straight A grades in all modules in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Textile Art.

§  Hannah Tullett gained straight A grades in Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and English Language and Literature
